Dwarka , The Deep blue beacons

After many days in GSV, Vadodara,me and my friends planned to go to Dwarka.Jay Dwarkadhish.

I and my friends had been to Dwarka this month. It is mind refreshing experience that changes your life forever with worship.

We visited the main temple in Dwarka, built for Rukmini Devi. It is believed that by worshipping her, we worship Lord Krishna.

We also visited Bet Dwarka. It is believed to be the actual residence of Lord Krishna, while mainland Dwarka, was his office.

The whole aurora of the island of devotees, priests and the temple was quite mesmerizing.Recently it has connected to the mainland with a stunning bridge.

Last but not the least we all guys enjoyed bathing on the beach and also the bathing ghat.

Chotta Udepur -Small place big appeal

Hi friends, after a long time I am updating my blog. The JEE tsunami has come and lifted me to GSV, Vadodara where I am studying Electronics. My life is  stable and serene once again . I am traveling once again on 11 Number.

Before Holi I went to Dwarka.Telling you more about it in a separate post.

This week I am visiting Chotta  Udepur, with my parents. I have been to Udaipur, and was not enthusiastic about visiting it's smaller version.

Surprisingly, the journey and the destination was equally beautiful (baba had booked a self drive zoom car).

Just the three of us it felt like old days. Just our car was different.

We visited two tribal museums,as maa had some work regarding the tribal art which she plans to incorporate in her projects

The artefacts and display were mind-blowing. With no other visitor we had the whole place  to ourselves . The  real icing on the cake......👍.

What really surprised me,that in a small town like Chotta Udepur, there was such a grand and magnifacent palace of the maharaja. It was quite intriguing to know how the maharaja used to live, his hobbies. There was also a photo of 1932 depicting all the rulers of princely states in british rule.

This is the beauty of India.

The Raja had his own swimming pool(now defunct), and has been used for several film shootings.

Digha - A date with waves in Korona Kaal

Corona has damaged the normal social fabric of so many people who are travelers like me. So finally after getting my Vaccine shots we took a ten day break to go to Kolkata to meet my grandparents and other relatives. This was the best gift I could have hoped for in this Corona Kaal- a gift which I had yearning for since the last 3 years.

During this trip we also to beach side resort of Digha for a vacation with my extended family . And what fun it was! We stayed at hotel Blue View bang on the sea shore. All our 3 rooms opened up to the sea and sitting on the balcony, watching the waves and life go by was itself so refreshing.

We stayed at Hotel Blue View Digha for 3 nights. Everyday after breakfast we would visit a neighbouring beach.

We visited Shankarpur beach which is quite rough and wild and the hub of making and repairing boats and trawlers. The beach was empty and I took Bhaiti out for a walk on the long stretch of sand while Dadai sat in a shade and sipped coconut water.

Mandarmani beach has come up as a nice attractive destination. Here the sea is serene and quiet and there are facilities for all kinds of water sports facilities available. Me and Baba wanted to do jet surfing in a speed boat but with 4 very seniors and my mother pulling us back,  it remained a dream. I liked Hotel Sonar Bangla Mandarmani a lot. Some day I hope to stay here and indulge in water sports to my hearts content. At that place we had fantastic fresh fish ....cooked really well........It was so yummy......

Tajpur Beach too has been developed quite well. Here the sea retreats for quite a few miles during low tide and it was great fun walking on the sandy beach and watching the scared crabs scampering away.

Evenings and nights on the Digha beach seemed like a carnival of sorts- open markets, thronging masses and the warm salty breeze blowing through all. It was hard to leave all of that and return to the city with only memories........but that's a  reality we all have to accept and we better accept it cheerfully.
