Horsley Hills : I trot off again

We ( Myself Bigga and Ma) just got back from a short trip to Horsley Hills, the smallest the greenest and the cutest hill station I have ever been to. The place was just a resort on the top of a forested hill. We stayed in cottages on the hill slopes and for the first time in my life I saw that roof could be slanting and not straight. The resort to my delight ( and my parents dismay) had a proper play area with swings slides and climbing bars- and needless to say, most of my time out was spent there. I also splashed out in the paddle pool trying to swim like I had seen the fishes in the aquarium do.
Just opposite our resort was a mini zoo where I regularly fed the rabbits leaves and carrots secured from cook uncle in the restaurant - and IT WAS A WONDERFUL FEELING. Wish I could bring at least one of the soft cuddly pets back home.

Srisailam- The Dam Was Crying !!!

Suntalekhola- Is this where fairies live?

Last year in Dec 2007, just after Mamu's marriage was over and Mamu and Indani had flown to US, we too headed for the hills of Bengal. In 4 days we visited 4 places, but the one I( and everyone) liked the most was Suntalekhola- a handful of picture postcard cottages in the heart of the forest at the bottom of a hill and beside a gurgling stream. It was like being in a fairyland and in the night I think I even saw fairies flying about in the moonlight. The best part was the rope bridge ( connecting Suntalekhola with the world outside) shaking every time you set foot on it ! Ma even allowed me to try crossing the stream by hopping on pebbles and boulders and it turned out to be great fun!
Sunatlekhola is a great place. Must go again with Baba and Mim mim!

Gopalpur-on-Sea- The Big Blue Wonder

I was spell bound- I had never imagined that there could so BIG a stretch of blue dancing waters in the whole world ( Before this I had only seen swimming pools). Ma told me that this is called the sea and inside the water there are lots and lots of fish- Ma fish, Baba fish, Tito fish, Mimmim fish, Dada fish, Dadi fish, Aniya fish, Padma Miss fish, Geeta didi fish..........

Bidar- Fort and Food, both very good

Pachmarhi- Nice holiday

This Diwali Bigga ( my dad) bundled all of us ( Ma Manku Thammi and me) in his car and headed towards the nice and quiet hill station of Panchmarhi. We were already quite a car full and so instead of squeezing with the other 4, I decided to spread myself at the back as you can see in the photo.

Pachmarhi is a lovely and must-go place- lots of walks, lots of waterfalls and lots of monkeys.
