Harsil is known
for its apples, and Gangotri is known for Char Dham pliligrimage, yet the apple
trail was surprisingly busy with with piligrim buses and minibuses, during what
was known as off season in November,vs the usual rush in April to June and
august.
This time
baba’s favourite zen,was in the garage, and we took a rented car from zoom, quite
a new experience
So after a long time,me maa and baba were on our
own truly enjoyable mountain ride.
Also we
intended to visit gartangali,a very famous wooden bridge, built by the
pathans,150 years back, then it was built to connect the old trade route to Tibet, which
went via nelong valley.
But,
unfortunately we couldn’t enter, due to unforeseen weather conditions due to
which the trail was closed. Anyway here God not Google maps reigns supreme!
We also spent some time at gangotri , the shrine the bazaar and also its quiet peaceful parts, a stark contrast to the busy market
.
Back in
harsil, we had a good cozy time in the apple orchards, also as it was directly
owned and in the backside of the
homestay in which we were living
I spending time
on my favourite hobby of patting a calf.
Ultimately
on the way back home, we found several shivlings made by people, near a shiv
temple. It’s said to be asuipcious and fulfliing for those who wish to build their
own house.
